This guide covers everything in Lodoss Wars Companion 1 that has to do with monsters.  You will find explanations of what everything means on the monsters description and also some example monsters to use in game.

Monster Stats
Monster Name:    The common name of a monster.
LP:     Amount of Life Points a monster may have expressed in number of dice.
MP:    Amount of Mental Points a monster has.
RE:    Amount of Resistance a monster has.
IV:      Initiative Level of a monster expressed in d10.
AV:    The Armor Value (AV) is the amount of damage a monster can absorb.
Attack%:    The attack success rate for a monster.
Damage:    Number of dice damage a monster can do.
DE:    A monsters ability do dodge attacks.
Magic:    Spells a monster knows.
Movement Rate:    The speed a monster is capable of traveling.
Experience Value:    The amount of Experience Points a character will gain from defeating a monster.
Special Ability:      Special Abilities a monster may have.

Monster Special Abilities
Enhanced Sight:    The monster is able to see at great distances and in the dark.
Flight:    The monster can fly at the speed of his Movement Rate.
Poison:    If a monster with the ability to do poison hits a character the character needs to make a DE save roll.  The immidiate effect of the poison is 2d10 damage and then 1d8 per hour after that until the poison is neutralized or the character dies.
Paralyze:    If a monster with the ability to paralyze hits a character the character needs to make a DE save roll. The character is able to move after an hour.
Breath:    The monster has a breath attack which does varying damage based on the type of breath attack.
Magic Defense:    The monster has a particularly strong resistance to magicly enchanted weapons and is resistant to the effects of the spell.
Spirit Defense:    The monster is resistant to spells that effect the spirit of the monster such as Command, Confuse or Sleep.
Level Drain:    The monster is able to drain the character of 1 Experience Level per successful attempt.  This also causes the character effected to loose the appropriate dice of MP and LP.
